TRANSITO de VENUS en frente del Sol
5 de Junio de 2012, a partir de las 17:00 hrs
¡Este será el último transito del planeta Venus en nuestra vida!
Debido a que el siguiente evento de este tipo será en el año 2117. Es por esta razón, que el Departamento de Astronomía de la UG va a dar la oportunidad a todo el publico en general de observar este increíble evento con sus propios ojos a través de nuestros telescopios. En las instalaciones de nuestro Observatorio "La Azotea".

2nd Conference of Computational Interdisciplinary Sciences
The Pan-American Association of Computational Interdisciplinary Sciences (PACIS) (http://epacis.net), the brazilian Associated Laboratory for Computing and Applied Mathematics (LAC)(http://www.lac.inpe.br) of INPE (http://www.inpe.br), and the Universidad de Guanajuato, are pleased to announce the 2nd Conference of Computational Interdisciplinary Sciences, CCIS 2012, to be held at Guanajuato, Mexico, from July 30 to August 03, 2012.
The conference will be scheduled in keynote lectures followed by special tutorials and contributed sessions on Computational Mathematics, Computational Physics, Computational Chemistry and Computational Biology. Miscellaneous topics as computational methods applied in Space and Environmental Sciences, Technology, Innovation and Economy are also in the conference scope.
Contributions can be oriented toward applications of computational methods, algorithms, numerical simulations and high-performance computing (HPC) in Science and Technology. The official language for the conference, including presentations and submissions, is English.
